DaAi TV program “Help the Earth” visit communities, schools and places around Taiwan, interviewing people about their different ways of environmental protection. Through Q&As and games in the program, they spread the concepts and call on everyone to dedicate to protecting environment.
In the episode first released on Feb 4th, 2017, Prof. Chin-Jung Lin teaches the audience how to keep tabs on water quality. He led the hosts to operate the precision equipment of Department of Environmental Engineering, making an experiment of using rice husk ash to remove heavy metal and industrial dye from water. The experimental process showed that the removal rate of Lead was above 90% and industrial dye was removed easily, which can be regarded as a best practice of agricultural waste recycling. Prof. Lin also talked about that water pollution prevention policy is superior to water quality control technology.
