Office of International Affairs NIU held “2017 NIU-KU Workshop on Problem Based Learning & Critical Thinking” on March 15. With much great honor we invited Prof. Toshiyuki Yamamoto, Vice-Dean of Promotion of Educational Development, Kansai University, Japan, to deliver the keynote speech.
The keynote speech was entitled” ICT-Enhanced Learning Environment for Active Learners”. Prof. Yamamoto shared a great time with NIU faculty members through great interaction and discussion. Students from NIU and KU enjoyed Prof. Yamamoto's wonderful demonstration teaching in the seminar in the afternoon. Divided into groups, students from both universities shared opinions and exchanged ideas.
After workshop, NIU campus ambassadors proceeded with a campus and Yilan city tour for KU guests. With intensive language and cultural exchanges for hours, students of KU and NIU created lifetime memory and made promises to meet in Japan in the future.
Thanks to great participation of NIU faculty members and students, the workshop was a great success. It was believed to be a fruitful and engaging day for participants. We look forward to establishing more mutually beneficial activities.
