[2020-10-30] Five Schools Draw a Blueprint for Promoting Education
In order to facilitate the promotion of education and the integration of resources, Fo Guang University, Tzu Chi University, Donghua University and Taitung University and Yilan University formed the "Pan Pacific University Alliance" to enhance the cooperation and exchanges between eastern schools in the fields of research, teaching, industry and academia . This year (109) "Pan Pacific University Alliance Conference" was hosted by Yilan University and held at the Green Dance International Tourist Hotel on October 23. In addition, in order to tie in with the promotion of the teaching practice research plan, a cross-school teaching practice support network was constructed to promote the teacher support system to implement the task of teaching practice research centered on students. On the same day, the "Teaching Practice Research Project Theme Forum "Invite representatives of the Pan Pacific University Alliance to participate, hoping to stimulate more possibilities for inter-university cooperation.

On the day of the event, we also specially invited Huang Zhengjie, a lifetime honorary professor of the Institute of Education of Providence University, to share the role of the university in assisting the implementation of the syllabus of primary and secondary schools and improving the quality of primary and secondary education with the topic of "How the University Helps the Promotion of Primary and Secondary School Literacy Education" In addition to meeting the needs of the university's own development, and doing things, we will always self-examine and implement the university's social responsibilities.

The VIP guests at the conference included President Wu Baiqing of Yilan University, President Yang Chaoxiang of Fo Guang University, President Liu Yijun of Tzu Chi University, Vice President Zhu Jingpeng of Donghua University, President Zeng Yaoming of Taitung University, as well as the vice-presidents, deans, deans of academics, R&D directors, and international Director, Director of Education Center, Director of Tuzi Library and other supervisors. During the meeting, the results of the implementation of the work teams of each school are tracked, including shared books, information resources, sharing of curriculum resources for teachers, joint overseas enrollment, teacher exchanges, research and development promotion platforms, student exchanges, etc. And after the meeting, the vice president Chen Kaili of Yilan University led the Pan-Union presidents and teachers to visit the Wujie campus of Yilan University, sharing the experience and results of ranch teaching and management, and visiting the agricultural processing room, teaching research and practice area (with animal Breeding pig house, meat pig house, layer house, sheep house, bee house on the premise of welfare breeding), ecological and farm practice area (provided for young farmers on the ground as organic and friendly farming lease).


In order to provide teachers with a broader vision of teaching work and enhance their teaching energy, the "Teaching Practice Research Forum" invited 8 participants, including Associate Professor Xiuxuan Wang from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering, National Ilan University, Professor Shuling Huang from Teacher Training center, National Chung Hsing University, Associate Professor Yiqian Jiang from Department of Nursing, Chang Gung University of Science and Technology, Professor Wenhao Chen from Department of Applied Mathematics, Donghai University, Professor Shaolian Weng from Department of Aquaculture, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Assistant Professor Peifeng Liu from Department of Food and Applied Biotechnology, National Chung Hsing University, Professor Xuejin Qiu from the Department of Applied Japanese, National Taichung University of Science and Technology and Professor Jiaqi Fu from the Department of Industrial Management, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. The forum respectively focused on "research methods", "project writing", "results assessment" and "thesis writing". Participants shared teaching experience and discussed future trends to stimulate. Participating teachers and interviewees communicated with each other through dialogues on various topics and stimulated more groundbreaking teaching methods.
