[2020-5-11] NIU's Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invented thermal imaging temperature detector
Coronavirus requires our national prevention force to beat it down. Prof. Yu Chu (游竹院長), the Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of National Ilan University, uses simple electronic parts and programming to make a thermal imaging temperature detector. Teachers and students can immediately know the temperature status while they are close to the detector. The equipment has been installed in various buildings and entrances of the school since the end of March. So far, 11 devices have been built for use; due to the epidemic heats up, the system design team of the Library and Information Center in the school has upgraded the equipment. In combination with the student ID card, the student's body temperature data can be recorded and uploaded to the database. If the body temperature record is shown on the mobile phone, the student can pass freely from one building to another on campus, which is quite convenient.
