Yilan County has held an " Innovation Competition," with a sign-up deadline of August 19th, and was open to all teenagers.

Yilan County has recently been promoting youth entrepreneurship and has collaborated with National Ilan University to hold a creativity competition to inspire youth teams to bring their refreshing ideas into reality. The competition prize pool adds up to a total of four hundred thousand dollars. The deadline for signing up was the 19^th of September, and was open to all teenagers.

Yilan County Commissioner Lin Tzu-miao announced that it’s one of his goals to provide the youth with a pleasant and fulfilling learning environment and to combine resources in and out of Yilan to turn creative ideas into reality. The Commissioner also hopes the youth are able to create a product or service that has the power to improve the city. We hope to cultivate some innovative teams that have the potential to achieve this goal.

NIU vice president Wei-Jung, Chen has said that Innovation Incubation Center has many years of experience in assisting industrial transformations and cultivating students to start up a business. The annual intramural entrepreneurship competition also received enthusiastic responses from each department. The innovation achievements were evident. This cooperation with the county government has been expanded by inviting countywide youth teams with an innovative potential to participate in the competition. It is expected to enhance the innovative energy of Yilan.

has three categories.

1. The technological application of core technologies category. This startup works with a product/service prototype that can be applied to industries such as the digital economy, smart manufacturing, smart IOT, Biotechnology and Medicine, high added value materials, and financial technology.
2. The innovative service category. This category includes innovative service goods, emerging business models and new valuable technology. This startup works with a product/service prototype that can be applied to topics such as intelligent commerce, brand creativity, digital life, leisure experiences and cultural and creative education.
3. The enterprise designation category. This category will provide solutions on how to improve industrial development and marketing or helping connect various tourism sites to plan a travel itinerary, taking tourism sites in Yilan Lung-te and Letzer Industrial Park as an inspiration.
