National Ilan Univesity is located at the heart of Yilan City. The traffic around NIU is very convenient, with a short 20-minute walk from the campus to both the Railway Station and the Long Distance Bus Terminal. Retail, service, and health facilities are also available, with the campus being within walking distance of the Shen-Lung shopping district, the Yilan County Cultural Affairs Bureau (including the Yilan Library, the Taiwan Theater Museum, and the Yilan Performance Hall), the Yilan County Stadium, and the Yilan Riverside Park. These are all good places for citizens and students to enjoy their leisure time. Private medical clinics and major hospitals are also within walking distance of the campus.

By Train

Exit at Yilan Train Station, take a taxi (average NTD 120) or take a 20-minute walk directly to the campus.

By Bus

Take tour bus (Kamalan Bus, Capital Bus, or Kuo Guang Bus ) and exit at the Yilan Transfer Bus Station. Then take a taxi or a 20-minute walk.

By Car

Take Freeway No. 5 (Jiang Wei-shui Freeway) and get off at the Yilan Interchange (38k).

Go straight on Yilan County Road 191 to Xianmin Blvd, and turn right on Xianmin Boulevard (Section 2) to Lánfēng Road. Then go straight to Jìnshì Road and turn right. Keep on driving about 500 meters, and you will arrive at the NIU campus.
